In order to ensure the BEST quality and standard of work we are only able to take on a limited number of celebration and wedding cakes per week. We therefore kindly request that if you are interested in accepting our quote that you place your order as soon as possible to avoid the disappointment of finding we are unable to process your request due to our bakers being fully occupied.
We require at least 48 hour notice for standard orders (i.e. items you can find on our website). Custom-designed cake orders require a minimum of one week’s lead time as well as a 50% deposit (payable on the date of order as per invoice).
We accept Visa card and Mastercard.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required in order to confirm your order. If this deposit is not received at least 4 days prior to your collection date your order will not be processed.
The outstanding balance is payable upon collection and no cake will be released without full payment having been received.
If you wish to have alterations that affect the cost after the quote has been confirmed the balance will be adjusted accordingly.
Cancellation Policy and Refunds
As mentioned above, the 50% deposit we require (as confirmation of the order) is non-refundable. If (at the discretion of management) under circumstances that are out of our control, a refund needs to be given, that refund will be in the form of in-store credit that can be used at any time (without an expiration date).
In the case of a complaint, a cash refund will not be provided. The store undertakes to investigate each matter and where necessary provide a replacement cake or in-store voucher.
Cancellation of your order needs to be noted in writing via email form at least 4 days prior to collection date.
Card transactions will be acquired for Dolce Bakery CC via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks.
PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Please be advised that we, Dolce Bakery, require information such as name, surname, contact details, email address as well as address to process all orders.
Customer details will be stored by Dolce Bakery CC separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
We do not have access to your account details or card details when a payment is made.
We will use the pictures you provide as design inspiration and will design your cake as close as possible to this design, however please bear in mind that we are not allowed to copy cakes exactly as this is copyright infringement. We can, however, assure you that the cakes will be spectacular and if there are specific design elements you cannot live without, please let us know.
We strive for service excellence and urge you to opt for our delivery service when ordering a tiered cake of two or more tiers. We have experience in transporting cakes and if the cake is damaged during our delivery, we will take full responsibility and rectify the damages so as to make sure that the cake is delivered in its perfection.
If you chose to collect your tiered cake and it is damaged during your delivery, any repairs will be billed accordingly and the cake will not be released until payment is made for those repairs
At Dolce Bakery, we have our own delivery service. The cost of delivery depends on the area and/or the distance travelled for the delivery. If you require any delivery quotes, please email us, email@example.com
Tasting are done by appointment only, please email us to make an appointment.
Wedding consultations are limited to 1 hour only. A tasting box will be supplied if requested, this is at a cost of R100.00 and includes 4 of our standard cupcakes and one or two cups of coffee.
Once you have collected your cake, please inspect it to ensure it is correct and that the brief was met.
The cake is to be transported on a flat surface under air-conditioning as icing can melt as well as the décor on the cake.
Please ensure your cake is refrigerated so as to avoid melting and collapsing. Keep your cake out of direct sunlight (even when on display).
